Klopp: We are champions of England, Europe and the world –…

first_imgPremier League champions for the 2019/20 season, Liverpool, will not back down from the gas pedal after their first title in 30 years, and there is still room for improvement, said Merseyside manager Jurgen Klopp.getty imagesThe Reds finally lifted the long-awaited trophy on Wednesday in front of the empty Cop due to the coronavirus pandemic, after a 5-3 victory over Chelsea in their last home game of the season. Klopp’s alumni won the Champions League, the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup last year, but the German warned that their rivals would try to shorten the distance to them next year.“We are champions of England, Europe and the world. I know how that sounds, but it’s the truth. It’s amazing, to be honest. We will not stop here. It could have been better, but it could have been worse if we hadn’t beaten Chelsea … these guys are special. I am very proud that we played outdoor football and, of course, we scored good goals. Amazing goals, super football that allows us to enjoy the rest of the night. Of course, we have room and potential for improvement and we will work on that. But obviously not now. We have a party, after which we have to recover and travel for the match with Newcastle. We have 96 points and it would be very good if we can get 99. It will be difficult, but who cares against Chelsea was very difficult. They are such a good team, but my people did it anyway, “said Jurgen Klopp.Liverpool could end their impressive season with 99 points with a victory over Newcastle in the last round of the campaign.
