Clinton Sees “Very Isolated” North Korea

first_img News Entire border patrol unit in North Hamgyong Province placed into quarantine following “paratyphoid” outbreak By Chris Green – 2009.07.27 3:26pm U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who gave a lengthy interview to MSNBC show “Meet the Press” in the United States on Sunday, believes that her recent vocal spat with North Korea at the ASEAN Summit in Thailand has served to clearly show that Pyongyang has arrived at complete international isolation, and has nowhere left to go if it refuses to improve it’s behavior, with “even Burma saying that they’re going to enforce the resolution of sanctions.”Clinton described her impression of a moment at the Summit when one of the North Korean representatives “launched a broadside attack on the United States, blaming us for literally everything that has ever gone wrong in North Korea going back decades.” Clinton explained how she was gratified to notice that, during the verbal assault, “I listened; everyone else just didn’t even look at him.” North Korea is “very isolated now,” she concluded.“They don’t have any friends left,” Clinton went on, referring to the will of the international community, “We are all on the same page and we are all committed to the same goal.”Clinton further reasserted that Pyongyang should not anticipate being rewarded simply for carrying out the requirements of the agreements it has already signed up to, for “doing what they said they would do in 2005 and 6,” or for “half measures.”Meanwhile, the North Korean ambassador to the UN made some unusually conciliatory remarks on Saturday. Speaking to reporters in New York, Ambassador Sin Son Ho is quoted as saying, “The six-party talks are gone forever, (but) we are not against dialogue. We are not against any negotiation for the issues of common concern.”“There is a specific and reserved form of dialogue that can address the current situation,” he declared, presumably referring to direct bilateral talks with the United States; something North Korea has been seeking for many years, but which Washington generally refuses to do.However, Clinton dismissed such bilateral negotiations in her interview, “We believe that the six-party talk framework which has everybody included is the appropriate way to engage with North Korea,” she claimed. Spriggs turns to Hiab for Bloodhound move

first_imgThe Bloodhound SSC, which is designed to travel at over 1,000 mph (1,600 kph), will attempt to break the current land-speed record in 2015 at Hakskeen Pan in South Africa. The Bloodhound SSC Project is run by Richard Noble, project director, and Andy Green, driver, owners of the current land-speed record of 763.035 mph, achieved with the Thrust SSC in 1997.Arthur Spriggs and Sons used a Hiab Moffett M8 truck mounted forklift to move the replica car on and off the transporter that was used to convey it around Europe and beyond. “Whenever we have a new business opportunity that requires materials handling equipment, we sit down with Hiab’s Moffett team and specify the correct machine for the task,” said Chris Spriggs, managing director of Arthur Spriggs and Sons. “So when we agreed to become the Logistics Product Sponsor for the Bloodhound SSC project, which entailed delivering the exhibition models and related equipment to shows and schools around Europe, we knew we needed a highly specialist piece of equipment, that could be easily maintained out in the field, to handle it all.”www.cargotec.comwww.hiab.comwww.arthurspriggs.co.uklast_img read more

8-Bit Programmable Digital Phase Shifters from 0.5 to 18 GHz

first_imgFairview Microwave has introduced a new series of 8-bit programmable digital phase shifters that are adjustable over a full 360 degree range. The series consists of three models that can produce a discrete set of phase states of up to 256 total steps in 1.4 degree increments with excellent accuracy and minimal phase shift error. These digitally controlled analog phase shifters cover broadband microwave and millimeter wave frequencies from 0.5 GHz to 18 GHz. They are ideal building block components for aerospace and defense radar and EW applications involving phased-array antennas, phase discriminators, beam forming networks and RF communication systems. The phase shifters feature an 8-bit TTL digital-to-analog converter that allows phase states to be precisely controlled. The integrated hybrid MIC design architecture provides greater immunity to noise on control lines, delivers more uniform performance from unit-to-unit and achieves a flatter phase response over a wider frequency bandwidth with higher power handling and improved linearity performance.Typical phase shift error ranges from +/- 0.9 to +/- 4.5 degrees over 8 binary increments with fast switching speed performance from 30 to 265 nsec. Maximum input (CW) power varies from +13 dBm to +30 dBm, depending on the model. The packages are compact and environmentally sealed with field-replaceable SMA or 2.92 mm connectors, and sub-miniature D multi-pin connectors for the power/logic controls. These models are designed to meet MIL-STD-202F requirements for temperature cycle, humidity, shock, altitude and vibration. The new 8-bit programmable phase shifters are in-stock and ready for immediate shipment with no minimum order quantity. Laporan Investigasi Awal Lion Air JT-610: KNKT Indikasikan Sensor Angle of Attack Tidak Berlaku…

Dan yang pasti, KNKT tengah berjuang untuk mendapatkan black box VDR (Voice Data Recorder) yang merekam pembicaraan terakhir awak kabin dan komunikasi dengan pihak ATC (Air Traffic Control).Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading… RelatedBuntut Insiden JT-610, Pihak Lion Air Bisa Batalkan Pesanan Pesawat ke Boeing!05/12/2018In “Domestik”Sedih!
